Summer Cider Cycle
Sorry, but this year's event
has been cancelled because
of insurance problems.
Started in 2013, the Summer Cider Cycle is one of the later additions to the Green Events and Llanwrtyd Wells calendar, designed to build on the longstanding appeal of the real Ale Wobble, but without having to like real ale.

This is a non-competitive fun bike ride through the surrounding hills, forests andvalleys in this delightful part of mid Wales, designed to show off the beautiful countryside in which we are lucky enough to live.

Starting at 10am, there will be a choice of distances, from around 14 miles to 25 miles, and at the checkpoints we will be providing a selection of cider and perry for your refreshment, with more at the finish if you haven’t used up all your tokens. The main checkpoint will also have a BBQ for sustenance (cash required). After the event, why not cross town to the Manor Adventure site near the railway station (signposted from the town square), where the World Mountain Bike Chariot Racing Championships will be held at 4pm. This is definitely a competitive event, with the World Champions title up for grabs. See the Chariot Racing page for more details.

In the evening there is free live music entertainment at the Neuadd Arms Hotel in the centre of town.
Entry is £20 for the day
