The Bog Triathlon first ran in 2005, following a demand for more dirty fun around our famous Waen Rhydd Bog
The event - the most unusual in the Triathlon calender starts with a 7.5 mile (6mile for juniors) run followed by 2 lengths of the 60 yard peat bog trench and then a 19 mile (12 miles for juniors) mountain cycle. The event is open to individuals and relay teams.

The bike used is specially prepared with a lead filled frame and water filled tyres to ensure grip on the pond bottom. The snorkeller/cyclist wears a lead weight belt to avoid floating off the bike! Scuba Drivers are...
These walks follow in the footsteps of the Drovers of old who used to drive their sheep, cattle or geese across the mountains to the market towns of England and Wales.
Screaming Lord Sutch, who has died aged 58, began his career as a rock singer, but went on to define himself in the public eye as a parliamentary candidate, latterly for the Official Monster Raving Loony Party.
For 30 years his manic grin and leopard skin topper were a staple part of election night entertainment. Powerful politicians - for Sutch had a penchant for standing against party leaders - not merely had their portentousness deflated by...

The enterprising Gordon, never one to miss an opportunity to promote Llanwrtyd Wells and improve business at his hotel, decided to put it to the test. And so began Green Events and its first, longest standing and now internationally acclaimed event, The Man...

The Saturnalia was the major annual festival of the Romans held in December or January each year. It was an event of unrestrained merry making when slaves were temporarily released and reversed roles with their masters and enjoyed the Bacchanalian Frolics and fun, including games.

Roman Costume will get you in the mood and may win you a prize. The mountain cycling for the wobble starts at 10am (registration from 9am) - with ales available at the checkpoints along waymarked routes of 15, 25 and 35 miles.
