This is a non-competitive mountain bike event covering miles of natural and purpose built single track, forest roads and bridleways. Local guides are used to tailor the rides to suit all abilities. The event includes a night ride on the Friday evening, early evening activities and a post ride BBQ for the Saturday with live music at the local pubs.

The aims of the walks are to provide a focal point for people who enjoy walking, encourage physical activity, provide a challenge and show off some of the most picturesque countryside surrounding Llanwrtyd Wells .  The Festival is non-competitive and a qualifying events towards the award scheme promoted by the IVV (International Federation of Popular Sports)

Cycling through the Cambrian Mountains, quaffing ale made at the Heart of Wales Brewery here in Llanwrtyd Wells. The Bog Triathlon first ran in 2005, following a demand for more dirty fun around our famous Waen Rhydd Bog
The event - the most unusual in the Triathlon calender starts with a 7.5 mile (6mile for juniors) run followed by 2 lengths of the 60 yard peat bog trench and then a 19 mile (12 miles for juniors) mountain cycle. The event is open to individuals and relay teams.

If you are looking for unique, wacky and physically challenging, this is the event for you!
The idea is to cycle along the bottom of a 6ft deep peat bog wearing a mask and snorkel and get back in the quickest time!

The Saturnalia was the major annual festival of the Romans held in December or January each year. It was an event of unrestrained merry making when slaves were temporarily released and reversed roles with their masters and enjoyed the Bacchanalian Frolics and fun, including games.

The Saturnalia has a plethora of winter warmer beers and wines with a roman flavour. There also an abundance of special Roman foods from recipes by Apicius such as Lumbuli Assi Ita Fiunt (Roast stuffed testicles).

Work off the excesses of Xmas and the New Year at our Saturnalia Wobble which takes place alongside our Saturnalia Beer Festival and Chariot Racing events. Roman Costume will get you in the mood and may win you a prize. The mountain cycling for the wobble starts at 10am (registration from 9am) - with ales available at the checkpoints along waymarked routes of 15, 25 and 35 miles.

Alongside the Saturnalia Beer Festival the Saturnalia Ramble offers the chance for you Roman gladatorial types to get to grips with some challenging walking through some magnificent mid wales scenery with the Welsh Winter weather and the finest of Welsh hospitality and Welsh brewed Ales and Ciders. The walks vary in length - with 10,15 and 25 mile circuits along local old Roman roads and through beautiful countryside using farm and forest paths, small tracks, paths or open fields....
